Friday Cocktail - Liberty

LUPEC Boston: March is Women's History Month!
The fine female cocktail bloggers at LUPEC suggest sipping Liberty Cocktail in honor of Women's History Month. Consider it done.

Liberty:
dash of simple syrup
1 part rum
2 parts applejack

Shake with ice and strain into a cocktail glass. Since they don't suggest the type of rum I checked www.cocktaildb.com and see a variation with light and a variation with dark rum, so I guess I'll try a few different ways. There's also a variation that adds a little lemon juice.
