BR/NO Weekend Events

Still dealing with my crashed hard drive, so posting will continue to be low for a while.

Friday night is the lighting of the tree in downtown Baton Rouge. It's accompanied by a displaced artist benefit art show in the black box theatre at the Shaw Center. Janet has donated a painting. There will also be a new show at the Breuner Gallery and booths and food and drink and general merriment.

Saturday we'll be making our first trip to New Orleans post-Katrina. I imagine that the drive in will be fraught with emotion. We're so looking forward to seeing our good friends and the better parts of the recovery. But we all know that's not all we'll see. For our evening's entertainment we will be seeing "Grenadine McGunkle's
Double-Wide Christmas Miracle!" The latest from No Running With Scissors, at One Eyed Jacks. The show opens Friday and runs Friday and Saturday nights at 8pm through the 30th (no shows on the 24th or 31st).
